New Document Macpherson brings this Canadian suffragist, author and legislator to life for a new generation. Though McClung had a short stint as a teacher before turning her hand to writing, she is best known for her fight on behalf of women's suggrage and in favour of prohibition. In the political arena, she served as a League of Nations delegate and as an Alberta MLA. This book is a focused and well-researched look into the life of one of the nation's prominent and influential figures.
